MAY 8 SEASON OPENER

Millwork Night Market returns for the 2025 season just one week from today on Thursday, May 8! If you’ve never been, the Millwork Night Market is an independent farmers' market featuring local food, art, and live entertainment. Our goal is to connect shoppers with the amazing farmers, producers, artists, and artisans that we have in the tri-state area, while also providing a one-of-a-kind nightlife experience in Dubuque’s Historic Millwork District.

The market happens on the second Thursday of the month from 5-8PM, May thru October. Be sure to follow along on Facebook or Instagram to see vendor previews and monthly beer and band announcements.

CONCERTS IN FULL SWING

If you’ve ever met me, you know that my favorite place in the entire world is a live music venue in the middle of nowhere called Codfish Hollow. It’s actually a big barn just outside of Maquoketa, Iowa, but it doesn’t feel like a farm when you’re there. It’s hard to describe because it’s unlike any other concert venue, but believe me when I tell you that you probably (definitely) want to see a show there. Their season has already started, but there are still lots of opportunities to get down there for an upcoming show.

I’ve volunteered at the venue for 10 years, but this year I am excited to say that I get to be part of the production staff. DREAM COME TRUE!

You can find tickets on their website or if a show isn’t sold out, show up impromptu and they’ll happily take care of you at the gate with cash. See you there!

FLOW WITH US!

We’re very excited to host a brand new outdoor event this summer with B1 Yoga! You’ll have TWO opportunities to practice outdoors on Friday, June 20. Each class includes live music sound healing, and a complimentary beverage afterward. Tickets are being offered on a sliding scale, and all event proceeds will be donated to the Mines of Spain.

CLASS INFO: America's State Tree Woodland Walk (also known as the paved John & Alice Butler ADA Trail) will wind you through a peaceful native prairie to a scenic overlook. The in-ground circular compass at the end of this half-mile trail serves as the perfect setting for collective movement and meditation.

  • 6 AM Sunrise Practice - Welcome the Summer Solstice with 50 sun salutations during this guided flow. After class, sip and stay a while with a 12 oz. espresso drink from Good Stewards Coffee Co. Look for their mobile cart at the picnic pavilion near the trailhead after class. Be sure to BYO travel coffee mug if you plan to take your coffee to-go.

  • 6 PM Sunset Practice - End your week and honor the Summer Solstice with a traditional "Yoga Mala" or 108 sun salutations. After class enjoy a craft mocktail or cocktail from Wicked River's new mobile bar cart. What a way to start the weekend!

Save the date for Saturday, July 19 at the corner of 10th & Iowa Streets. We’ll be closing off the street again with an outdoor bar, food trucks, live music, and BMX with Olliewood Action Sports!
